About Warren Island State Park
Maine acquired this 70-acre island in Penobscot Bay for a single dollar in 1958, and it became a state park the following year. The land sits about half a mile from Islesboro Island, reachable only by private boat via a pier on the shore. Hiking trails, campsites, and open-faced shelters occupy the island, which lies roughly three miles offshore from the mainland at Lincolnville.
