About Damariscotta Lake State Park
A sandy shoreline sits at the northeast corner of Damariscotta Lake, a 10-mile-long body of water that gives the park its name and its main draw. The park itself covers 19 acres, a small tract set at the head of the lake and managed by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. Visitors get access to the water at one end of a lake that stretches far beyond the park's own boundaries.
