About Big Run State Park
The confluence of Monroe Run and Big Run marks the center of this 300-acre park, set within Savage River State Forest at the northern end of the Savage River Reservoir. Boating and fishing draw visitors to the reservoir waters, while hiking, picnicking, and camping fill out the land side of the park. The reservoir itself is formed by an impoundment of the Savage River.
