About Dighton Rock State Park

A glacial erratic more than 11 feet high sits at the center of this preserve, its surface covered in petroglyphs carved long before the land became a park. Once positioned on the banks of the Taunton River, the boulder now rests inside a small museum built to house it. The 98-acre property occupies the river's eastern shore in Berkley and is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
