About Wompatuck State Park

Free spring water has been drawn from Mt. Blue Spring since the mid-19th century, a feature that predates the park itself. The land spans about 3,500 acres across Hingham and the neighboring towns of Cohasset, Norwell, and Scituate, with a large campground and an extensive network of trails. It falls under the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, which manages the property to protect forest land within the northeastern coastal forests ecoregion.
