172 acres of shoreline on the northeast side of Mullett Lake make up this park, positioned within the Inland Lakes Waterways system that links a chain of inland lakes. The land sits on the lake's edge rather than inland, putting visitors directly at the water. It has held state park status since 1923, one of Michigan's longer-standing park designations.
