About Cambridge Junction Historic State Park

Walker Tavern once served travelers on stagecoach runs between Detroit and Chicago, and it still stands at the center of this 80-acre historic site. Around it are a reconstructed barn holding artifacts on mid-19th-century life and work, and the 1929 Hewitt House Visitors Center, which covers early auto tourism and the roadside attractions once found in the Irish Hills. A mile-long trail loops through the property, passing through both wetlands and wooded ground.
