About Negwegon State Park
Lake Huron shoreline forms the eastern edge of this undeveloped 4,118-acre tract, which sits at the southern tip of Thunder Bay across the water from Alpena. The land holds lowland stretches broken by small ridges, stands of mature pine forest, open meadows, and a long sand beach. Michigan's Department of Natural Resources manages the property with help from a volunteer group called Friends of Negwegon.
