A spring-fed lake covering 133 acres sits at the center of this 290-acre park, with the state holding two-thirds of its shoreline. The surrounding land lies within Mackinaw State Forest, which stretches across the northern eight counties of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. The park itself occupies ground within Canada Creek Ranch.
