A 363-acre stretch of shoreline sits at the far tip of Long Island's North Fork, in the town of Southold. The park protects this narrow strip of coastal land where beach frontage meets the water at the peninsula's end. Its position at the very point of the North Fork gives it a setting unlike land farther inland along the same shore.
