About Jones Lake State Park

Two Carolina bay lakes, Jones Lake and Salters Lake, form the core of this 2,208-acre tract in the state's Coastal Plain. The park protects these bay lakes and the surrounding land, offering fishing, swimming, boating and hiking along with picnicking areas. Environmental and historical education programs run alongside these recreational activities. Access is by North Carolina Highway 242, north of Elizabethtown.
