About L. L. "Stub" Stewart State Park
Trails here connect directly to the Banks-Vernonia State Trail, linking this 1,654-acre park to the region's larger network of pathways through the foothills of the Northern Oregon Coast Range. Hiking routes, mountain bike trails, and horseback riding paths cross the property. When it opened in 2007, it was the first full-service state park built in Oregon since 1972.
