About Bucktail State Park Natural Area

A 75-mile corridor along Pennsylvania Route 120 stretches between Emporium and Lock Haven, tracing the banks of Sinnemahoning Creek and the West Branch Susquehanna River and passing through Renovo. Covering 16,433 acres across Cameron and Clinton Counties, the land is set aside mainly for watching wildlife, particularly elk. Its name honors the Civil War era Pennsylvania Bucktails Regiment.
