About Sinnemahoning State Park

Mountainous terrain with deep valleys spreads across 1,910 acres, bordered on all sides by Elk State Forest. The land sits partly in Grove Township and partly in Wharton Township, split across Cameron and Potter counties. Elk and bald eagles inhabit the area, though both are described as rarely seen. The site opened under the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry in 1958, four years before it gained state park status.
