A man-made lake of 3.5 acres, Doubling Gap Lake, sits within the park's 273 acres in the Doubling Gap of Blue Mountain. The land lies along Pennsylvania Route 233 between Newville and Landisburg, in Lower Mifflin Township, and is bordered by Tuscarora State Forest on all sides.
