About Pine Grove Furnace State Park

1764 marks the origin of the Pine Grove Iron Works, whose remains stand preserved within the grounds, alongside traces of the 1830 Laurel Forge and an 1892 brick plant. The land holds both Laurel and Fuller Lakes, set in Cooke Township, and supports a range of outdoor pursuits tied to this industrial past. Access runs through Pennsylvania Route 233, eight miles from Interstate 81's exit 37.
