About Musgrove Mill State Historic Site
A colonial-era mill site along the Enoree River marks the ground where the Battle of Musgrove Mill was fought on August 19, 1780, during the American Revolutionary War. The engagement took place near the river at the point where Spartanburg, Laurens, and Union Counties meet, about seven miles from Interstate 26. The site preserves this battlefield ground on the county border.
