About Paris Mountain State Park

Civilian Conservation Corps crews built the stone and timber structures here in the 1930s, including the Camp Buckhorn lodge, which now holds a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. The park spans 1,540 acres and centers on 13-acre Lake Placid, where visitors can swim, fish, and rent canoes, kayaks, or pedal boats, though private boats stay off the water. Trails for hiking and biking wind through the grounds, and campsites range from primitive backcountry spots to paved pads with water and electric hookups.
