About Norris Dam State Park

Completion of the dam that backed up the Clinch River in 1936 formed the lake along whose shores this land was later set aside. The property spans 4,038 acres across Anderson and Campbell counties and falls under management of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Within its boundaries sits the Lenoir Museum Complex, which covers the region's Native American, pioneer, and early 1900s history.
