About Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park

Alvin C. York, a decorated World War I soldier who spent his entire life in the Pall Mall area, once owned the farm and gristmill preserved here along the Wolf River. The grounds hold his two-story house, general store and post office, along with the millhouse, milldam, Wolf River Cemetery, Wolf River Methodist Church, and the York Bible Institute. Picnic facilities are also on site.
