About Lime Kiln Point State Park

Forty-two acres along the western shore of San Juan Island make up this park, situated so that whales passing close to shore can sometimes be seen jumping within 20 feet of onlookers standing on the rocks. The grounds hold a working lighthouse, a stone lookout with picnic tables, and a restored lime kiln dating to operations that began there in 1860.
