About Wallace Falls State Park

A former logging tract along the Wallace River, the land still holds traces of that industry in collapsed railroad trestles, abandoned rail grades, and springboard notches cut into old stumps. Spanning 1,380 acres on the west slope of the Cascades, the park protects three waterfalls, three backcountry lakes, and stands of old-growth conifer forest, along with the rivers and streams that cut through them.
