About Bluestone State Park

2,154 acres of land along the western shore of Bluestone Lake make up this park, a reservoir formed by the Army Corps of Engineers damming the New River. Both the lake and park take their name from the Bluestone River, which joins the New River within the park's boundaries. The shoreline setting reflects this confluence of the two waterways.
