About Moncove Lake State Park

250 acres set aside from the surrounding wildlife management area make up this park, carved out for separate state park status in 1990. A 144-acre lake fills much of that acreage, giving the land its shoreline setting. The site also lies beneath the path of the fall eastern hawk migration, putting it under a seasonal flight corridor overhead.
