About Heritage Hill State Historical Park
An open-air museum spread across 56 acres brings together relocated and reconstructed buildings for visitors to walk through. The grounds are managed by a non-profit, the Heritage Hill Corporation, which leases the land from the Wisconsin DNR and handles its operation, upkeep, and development. This arrangement places day-to-day care of the site in private hands while the state retains ownership of the property.
