About High Cliff State Park

Cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment rise along the shore here, giving the park its name and its high vantage over Lake Winnebago. Spanning 1,187 acres, it is the only state-owned recreation area situated directly on that lake. The escarpment itself is part of a much longer rock formation that continues north through Wisconsin and Michigan into Ontario and New York, reaching all the way to Niagara Falls.
