About Nelson Dewey State Park
Once part of the Stonefield estate belonging to Nelson Dewey, Wisconsin's first governor, this land became a 756-acre state park along the Mississippi River. The site preserves that connection to Dewey's home grounds while opening the riverside acreage to visitors.
