About Half Moon Bay State Beach

A four-mile stretch of shoreline along Half Moon Bay makes up this 181-acre park, divided into four connected sections: Roosevelt, Dunes, Venice, and Francis Beaches. The park protects this continuous run of coastal sand within the California state park system. It was established in 1956.
