A mile of shoreline here mixes sandy coves with rocky cliffs, giving way to tide pools that form along the rocks. The beach runs alongside State Route 1, west of the town of Pescadero, and includes spots set up for fishing and picnic facilities near the sand. The coastline stretches for about a mile total, offering both open beach and rockier tidal ground within that same stretch.
