About Hurd State Park

Hiking trails and picnic grounds spread along the east bank of the Connecticut River, bordering George Dudley Seymour State Park. Mountain biking is also permitted on the grounds. The park is one of only four Connecticut state parks offering primitive camping to boaters traveling the river, a detail that sets its recreational use apart from typical land-based parks.
