About Machimoodus State Park

Land along the Salmon River and Salmon Cove was set aside to create this park, bordered on the north by Sunrise State Park and framed on the west and south by the river and cove itself. The property is overseen by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Its riverside and cove-side location, near the village of Moodus in East Haddam, defines the setting rather than any built attraction.
