A waterfall on the Coginchaug River anchors this 285-acre preserve spanning Middletown and Middlefield. The land supports trail hiking, fishing, swimming and picnicking, and is overseen by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Its acreage and river setting give visitors both moving water and wooded terrain to explore on foot.
