About Crystal River Preserve State Park
Salt marsh gives way to tidal creeks and mangrove islands across roughly 11,100 hectares, along with hardwood forests, coastal scrub and pine flat woods. This mix of coastal and upland habitat was originally protected under the name Crystal River Buffer Preserve.
