About F. D. Roosevelt State Park
Spanning 9,049 acres along the Pine Mountain Range, this is Georgia's largest state park. It carries the name of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who came to nearby Warm Springs seeking treatment for paralysis at the Little White House. The park's western section, once known as Pine Mountain State Park, was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1997.
