About Kingdom Come State Park

Raven Rock and Log Rock mark the high ground here, sitting atop Pine Mountain within a park that also holds a 3.5-acre mountain lake. The name comes from John Fox Jr.'s 1903 novel The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come, a nod to the writer's Kentucky roots. Part of the grounds carries legal protection as a dedicated state nature preserve under the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves.
