About Pine Mountain Trail State Park
A footpath under construction runs along the ridge of Pine Mountain, planned to stretch 120 miles between Breaks Interstate Park and Cumberland Gap National Historical Park once finished. The park covers a 1,000-acre band following that ridge. Along its route the trail is meant to link up with Bad Branch State Nature Preserve and other natural areas managed by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves.
