About Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park

A narrow peninsula between Casco Bay and the Harraseeket River holds this 244-acre property, with white pine and hemlock forests giving way to salt marsh estuary and rocky shoreline. The land sits on the southeastern side of Freeport, bounded by water on two sides. Managed by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, it has been set aside as public recreation land since 1969.
