About Popham Beach State Park
A stretch of shifting coastline forms a peninsula where the Morse River meets Atkins Bay on the Kennebec River, and this 605-acre park sits along that changing shoreline. It draws more day visitors than any other state park in Maine. The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry manages the property, which fronts the Atlantic Ocean.
