About Holyoke Heritage State Park

1986 marks the year this park opened on the former grounds of the William Skinner Silk Mill, which burned down in 1980. The site focuses on that industrial past rather than natural scenery, preserving the memory of the mill through its heritage designation. The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation manages the grounds today.
