Sand covers the entire 48 acres here, stretching along Lake Michigan at the point where the Grand River meets the harbor. The shoreline setting puts campers and beachgoers within view of the Grand Haven South Pierhead Entrance Light and the Grand Haven South Pierhead Inner Light. Activities center on the beach itself and the open water, with the pier lights marking the harbor entrance nearby.
