About Newaygo State Park

Twenty-foot embankments overlook Hardy Dam Pond, a six-mile-long, 4,000-acre impoundment of the Muskegon River, from the park's position on the south side of the water. The park itself covers 400 acres in Big Prairie Township. It was established in 1966 as a public recreation area along this reservoir.

Hours, fees, camping, reservations and closures are set by the park and change often. Check the official park site before you go.
