About Sibley State Park

Andrew Lake forms the shoreline this park is built around. The land carries the name of Henry Hastings Sibley, Minnesota's first governor, a designation separate from the city park bearing his name in Mankato. Beyond that lake setting, the grounds have held state park status since 1919, making it one of the longer-established sites in the Minnesota system.
