About Charles A. Lindbergh State Park

569 acres of former farmland along the Mississippi River make up this site, once home to Congressman Charles August Lindbergh and his son, the aviator Charles Lindbergh. Their restored 1906 farmhouse and two other farm buildings still stand, with the house and an adjacent museum run by the Minnesota Historical Society. Several picnic shelters, a water tower and other structures built by the Works Progress Administration in the 1930s remain largely unchanged and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At the family's request, the grounds were kept free of swimming or camping facilities.
