About Marie J. Desonier State Nature Preserve

A heavily forested tract sits along Jordan Run near its headwaters in Deep Hollow, crossed by the Oak Ridge Trail, a loop hike that can be walked as a two-mile route or extended to 2.5 miles over two footbridges. Aside from a small parking area, there are no other developed facilities on the property. The preserve is maintained as a representative sample of the surrounding forest, noted for having relatively few invasive plant species.
