About Tar Hollow State Park

Hiking trails wind from the park directly into the adjoining Tar Hollow State Forest, giving visitors a continuous stretch of wooded terrain to cover. The land sits among the foothills of the Appalachian Plateau, with the two protected areas forming one larger complex. At its center is Pine Lake, a 15-acre body of water where boating, fishing and swimming are available.
