Grand Lake o' the Cherokees meets the mouth of the Neosho River at the edge of this 88-acre park, which sits at the lake's northwestern corner. The land is managed as the Bernice Area of Grand Lake State Park and lies across the river mouth from the town of Bernice, Oklahoma, for which it is named.
