About Frances Slocum State Park

A horseshoe-shaped, man-made lake covering 165 acres was built within the grounds and now draws people for fishing and boating. The surrounding park spans 1,035 acres in Kingston Township, giving the water body room to curve through the landscape. It sits roughly 5 miles from Dallas and 10 miles from Wilkes-Barre.
