About Raccoon Creek State Park
A 101-acre lake called Raccoon Lake sits at the center of this 7,572-acre tract along Raccoon Creek, spanning Hanover and Independence townships. The grounds support hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, camping, and hunting, with swimming, fishing, and boating concentrated on the lake itself. Access runs through Pennsylvania Route 18 and US Routes 30 and 22, placing the park roughly 30 miles from Pittsburgh near Hookstown.
