About Salt Springs State Park

Hemlock trees over 500 years old stand among the largest in Pennsylvania within this park's boundaries, part of a gorge landscape on Fall Brook that includes three waterfalls. The Fall Brook Natural Area is included in the Old-Growth Forest Network. Combined, the state's 405 acres and the 437 acres held by the Friends of Salt Springs Park bring the total protected land to 842 acres, with that nonprofit group managing the park.
