About Worlds End State Park
Loyalsock Creek runs through the valley that forms the core of this 780-acre park, which sits along Pennsylvania Route 154 and is nearly enclosed by Loyalsock State Forest. The name has been in use since at least 1872, though its origin remains unclear, and for a stretch between 1936 and 1943 the property was officially called Whirls End State Forest Park instead. It was founded in 1932 under Governor Gifford Pinchot, near the borough of Forksville.
